Is it possible that there are people in the Roman Catholic Church who are indeed saved? The answer is yes. They can come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by reading their Bible, unfortunately, most so-called Roman Catholics do not read the Bible, they simply rely upon the priest to do that for them. Consequently, with the false doctrines promoted by the Roman Catholic Church, how can people be saved except they read their Bible? And if they do get saved, why would they want to stay in a false church which upholds so many docrines and practices that are contrary to the Bible?

. . .I am a Roman Catholic, totally in love with my Lord and Personal Savior Jesus Christ. Yet YOU DARE TO JUDGE ME as believing in a false religion.

Have you been born again? Jesus said that a person must be born again to see heaven.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:3-8

Many people claim to be in love with Jesus and openly acknowledge Him as their Lord and Savior, but does Jesus really know them, how would He respond?

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23

God desires that everyone repent and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ but how can Roman Catholics do this when they are not told the truth?

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:6-12

The Roman Catholic Church's doctrine is riddled with so many errors, it makes the simple plan of salvation a long complicated process with no assurance of eternal life and forgiveness of all sin. Baptism, Mass, Confession, prayers to Mary and the Saints, good works, and purgatory are all added to faith in Christ. By contrast, the Bible teaches salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone. I pray for my enemies. I pray that God will have mercy on you for spreading lies.

Praying for your enemies is admirable and scriptural, it's what Jesus commanded us to do.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:43-45

There is just one problem, we are not the enemy; telling the truth does not always make you a lot of friends, on the contrary, many people will be offended.

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? Galatians 4:16

Jesus said that He was the only way to heaven and many were offended at that time, the offence continues to this day from that statement.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

The Catholic church is GOD'S CHURCH - HIS PEOPLE.

If you look up the word "cult" in the dictionary, you will find a very broad definition of the word which could apply to almost any group of people that worship any person or image or even anyone that follows Jesus. The dictionary definition is not specific as to what a cult really is. We all know that man wrote the dictionary with head knowledge, but the word of God is inspired by the Spirit of God and is our only absolute truth. A cult according to the Word of God is any group of people that worship anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, and believe anything contrary to His Word as found in the Bible.

To deny that Roman Catholicism is a cult is to repudiate the reformation and mock the millions of martyrs who died at Rome's hands. The "Christ" of Roman Catholicism is just as false as its "Mary". Roman Catholicism is an offshoot of Christianity and the largest and oldest "Christian" cult in the world. In addition, the display of adoration, the gaudy parade of a mere man as if he were a god, the pandering to idolatrous worship through bowing down and kissing his ring, the insistence that he be addressed as "His Holiness the Pope" or "Father" of all Christians cannot but confirm to any Christian that the Roman Catholic church is a cult.

Dear reader, I challenge you to find one instance in the Bible where Peter, the supposed "first pope" allowed himself to be worshiped in such a manner. On the contrary, you will find an abundance of humility, where in each instance that people tried to worship or pay homage to him, Peter would not allow them to do so.

There isn't a denomination on this planet (Christian) that teaches ALL the truth, all the time - including yours. HAVE MERCY! I pray for your clarity and discernment.

If you have a King James Bible, know without a doubt that you have the Word of God in your hands. In it resides clear instructions given to us by the Holy Spirit. Denominations are the result of man's failures, not God's. Man does not know God's Word; when man is confronted with truth, he does not change even if he is wrong. Many people react with hostility to information that contradicts what they know to be true. The Berean's heard Paul and Silas preaching in the synagogue, and they were commended for listening and searching the scriptures as to whether or not the things that they had heard were true (Acts 17:10-11).

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

It is true that God desires unity within the body of Christ, Satan's chief motive is to like a lion, to split members from the Church and then tear them to pieces when they have been separated..

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9

We are brothers and sisters in Christ, with some different views here and there. Concentrate and glorify GOD, WHERE WE ARE THE SAME! Minister to the unsaved!

In order for a Roman Catholic to be considered a part of the body of Christ (a Christian), they must adhere to the five fundamentals of the faith which are essential for Christianity, and upon which we agree:

  1. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1; John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8-9).

  2. The Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27).

  3. The Blood Atonement (Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25, 5:9; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12-14).

  4. The Bodily Resurrection (Luke 24:36-46; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 15:14-15).

  5. The inerrancy of the scriptures themselves (Psalms 12:6-7; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20).

And those who disagree with any of the above doctrines are not Christians at all, rather, they are the true heretics. So disagreements are perfectly acceptable within the confines of Christianity, because our salvation does not hinge upon doctrines other than the above five. But if some deny even one of the five fundamentals mentioned above, they have departed from the faith, "giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1). By denying or adding to the above scriptural doctrines, they have heaped to themselves "teachers, having itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:3); thereby even "denying the Lord that bought them" (2 Peter 2:1). These are the true heretics, who are preaching "another Jesus", according to 2 Corinthians 11:4:

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

And later in this same chapter, Paul refers to these people as the ministers of Satan, in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15:

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

So, please - if you take offense to differences in lesser doctrines, don't think that we are condemning you as unbelievers or heretics. Nothing could be further from the truth. As long as you hold to the five fundamentals of the faith, you may join the debate. And together, we shall reprove the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).

If you are reading this and don't know if you have been truly saved, know that biblical salvation is God's free gift to any sinner who believes that Christ died for their sins and rose again for their defense; this salvation gives immediate assurance of eternal life. No church ever saved anyone but Christ can and will save everyone who will come and trust Him as their Saviour. Membership in a church does not secure salvation for anyone, but trust Christ and Him alone and you will be saved for all eternity!

Would you like to be saved?
