ABUSING THE LOVE OF GOD

April 25,1999

Our heavenly Father is a God of love, mercy and compassion. But what does God do when people take advantage of Him and more or less are using his goodness for their own evil agenda? As always, lot us turn to the Bible to find the answer.

1. The first man to abuse God's love was Cain. He refused to follow instructions from the Lord, and when God communicated with him. It did not matter. It was going to be Cain's way regardless the cost, Abel had to die.

Cain was allowed to live out his life on this earth, but he was a cursed man, who was driven out from the presence of God. All his descendants died in the food and they all went to hell. Genesis 4:1-16

2. Lot preferred the fast life in Sodom. God Saved Lot for Abraham's sake. Lot's wife could not give up her sinful way of living, and she died. Lot and his daughters committed incest and created two cursed nations, the Moabites and the Ammonites, Genesis 19:23-38

3. Judah, son of Jacob abused the love of God. He was a whoremonger, which brought a Curse upon his children, he committed incest with his daughter-in-law and brought a curse upon his offspring for generations to come. Genesis 38:1-26

4. Nadab and Ablhn disregarded that their father was Aaron, and decided to create their own design on how to worship God. God killed them instantly. Leviticus 10:1-7

5. Korah, a Great grandson of Levi abused the love of God and used God for his own political plans. God sent him, his family and his followers living into hell. Numbers 16:1-35

6. Abimelech, a son of Gideon schemed how he could become king of Israel. The road to his kingship was paved with the murder of his brothers. In due time God had him killed and he amounted to nothing.
Judges 9:1-5, 50-57

7. Jesus told us of the wicked Servant – Matthew 18:23-35

The Bible warns us strongly against willfully sinning - Hebrews 10:26-31
You can lie and fool some people, but you cannot fool God - your heart is an open book before him. Hebrews 4:12-13

IF YOU LIE AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT, KNOW THIS, YOU WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN IN THIS LIFE NOR IN ETERNITY! BEWARE! BEWARE! Matthew 12;31-32

REMEMBER! JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND FOR EVER! Hebrews 13:8
