LEARNING THE LESSON OF FAITH

May 9,1999

Faith is the very backbone in our relationship with God. God cannot and will not tolerate UNBELIEF? Hebr: 1:1-6

Faith is not some kind of abstract feeling, IT IS A DEEP CONVICTION THAT THERE IS A GOD AND THAT HE IS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. All the healing that Jesus did, were first of all to help the people and secondly to build faith in God.

When the leper came, he was not turned down - Matt.8:1-4
When the centurion came, he was not turned down - verses 5-13
When Peter's mother-in-law was sick, Jesus healed her - verses 14-18
Then came the multitudes - verses 16-17
Seeing the miracles, did it build faith in the apostles? NO! Matt.8:23-27

FAITH MUST BE TESTED BEFORE IT IS MATURE AND STRONG!
Abraham had faith - Romans 4:1-5
Abraham did not start out with faith. Because of his unbelief he became a liar twice:
Genesis 12:10-20; 20:1-18
God tested Abraham to the max in order for Abraham to have personal faith in God.
Genesis 22:1-18
God knew that the children of Israel did not have faith. Therefore God could not send them directly to the Promised Land, but he sent them into the wilderness, where their faith would mature, Exodus 13:14-22

All people on the earth who have believed in Jesus and been born again, are suffering from the spiritual disease called "RED SEA UNIBELIEF". Ex.14:1-31

If this disease is not eradicated, it will bring death. Numbers 14:1-12; 20-34
Negative speaking- running wild with your mouth is a disaster - 1 Cor,1O:5-13

THE REMEDY - THE WORD OF GOD! Rom. 10:17
If we do not know the Word of God, you cannot have faith! Hosea 4:6
Learn to praise the Lord in the middle of the most horrible conditions, knowing that it is here and now that God is building your faith, IF YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH LINED UP WITH THE WORD OF GOD! James 1:1-18

Learn to walk by faith 2 Cor.5:7

CONFESS VICTORY BEFORE YOU SEE IT!
START PRAISING GOD BEFORE YOU HAVE SEEN THE RESULT!
WORSHIP THE LORD WHILE YOU STILL ARE IN PAIN! Mark 11:21-26

WHAT DO YOU WANT? FAITH IN GOD or faith in the Devil???
