CHAPTER SIX
This chapter, to my understanding, is a panorama, an outline of the period that Jesus called "The Great Tribulation." Matthew 24:21-27 Jesus warned us that there has never been a time like this and there never will be again. It is important to understand that God, in his mercy and grace, has told us about the main events to take place on this earth before Jesus comes back. This is done in order to warn mankind and to let the saints know that when these things begin to take place, it is all under the control of God Himself and that we are to trust God for our well being on this earth while we are waiting for our turn to leave for heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Verse 1: Jesus is now opening the first seal on this scroll.

Verse 2: The rider on the white horse is not Jesus, instead this is the Antichrist who will set out to consolidate his kingdom. Daniel 11:36-39; Revelation 13:1-9

Verses 3-4: These are God’s holy angels, who for the last 7,000 years have held back Satan and his demons to wage war and totally destroy the earth. Now they will remove the peace and open the doors for Satan’s merciless tormentors. Zechariah 1:7-11;Matthew 24:4-13

Verses 5-6: The rider on this horse will bring famine on a world wide scale. It will be on a scale that mankind has never seen before! 2 Kings 6: 25-31; Ezekiel 4:16-17

Verses 7-8: The rider on this horse is death, and by now 25% of the entire world population will be killed. Every fourth person will be killed. This will bring fear and trauma to every nation on the earth. Jeremiah 15:1-3; Ezekiel 5:7-17

When God pours out his wrath upon the world, there will be no mercy shown to the sinner; it is over, no more grace, only a horrible death and then a trip to hell while waiting for the final judgment and the Lake of Fire! Revelation 20:11-15

Verses 9-11: There will be many believers in Christ who will die at the hand of brutal soldiers and prison guards serving the kingdom of Antichrist. But it is better to die without taking the mark of the beast, then to live for a season on this earth, and then burn forever in the Lake of Fire. Luke 18:1-8; Revelation 14:9-13

Verses 12-17: Finally, God has decreed, enough is enough, clean up the earth and smash all evil once and for all. Now there will be no place to hide for the men and women serving the Devil and his Antichrist. Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 19:11-21

Are you saved, born again? Have you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ? If so, you have nothing to fear, rather rejoice that the Day of the Lord is coming! But if you reject the Son of God, and you refuse to repent and take Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, tremble and fear greatly, because you are going to face eternal damnation and torment!
