THE BOOK OF REVELATION - PART 19

CHAPTER THIRTEEN:

Verse 10: This is a warning that regardless if this is the time of the Antichrist, God’s laws are still valid and there is judgment from God. Compare this with Genesis 9:6; Isaiah 33:1; Jeremiah 15:2; Matthew 26:52. Knowing that God is still in control, should bring comfort to the believer in Christ.  Luke 21:19; Revelation 14:12.

Verse 11: This is the false prophet who will be the most smooth religious talker on the earth with the power of deception to the max. He will look like a lamb, but he will speak like the Devil, smooth, cold and deadly.

Verse 12: This religious leader will display enormous supernatural power, and will direct men’s worship toward the first beast/man.

Verse 13: He will go beyond the power displays that we can watch on the religious TV channels, this man is going to be serious and call down fire from the air. Compare this with Matthew 24:24;2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 16:14. Beware of false prophets - Deuteronomy 13:1-5.

Verse 14: This deception is going to be very powerful because it will be so close to the real thing.  Many gullible Christians will be sucked in on this. Compare this with 1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Peter 2:1-3.

Verse 15: It is possible that the image will consist of two different objects. First the man/beast is going to be shown on global world television, on giant screens at worship centers and statues will also be made, which will be able to move and speak. Such statues are in existence today in various museums. Worship will be mandatory, and death will be the sentence for anyone refusing.  Compare this with Daniel 3:1-30.

Verses 16-17: All financial transactions will be controlled, through an identification system that no one can fool. But note now that the system is going to be voluntary; the Devil is not going to force anyone to take his mark. Either you take the mark or you will not be able to exist in the kingdom of the Devil. No middle ground!

God is adamant about this mark of the beast. You take it and you are toast for the rest of eternity! There will be no mercy, no forgiveness, no second chance! Take the mark and you have lost your seat in heaven forever and ever! Revelation 14:9-13.

Verse 18: Here the system is identified.  The numerical identification for King Solomon was 666.  He was the developer of the Cabala, which is today in control of Judaism and the current World Government. Compare this with 1 Kings 10:14-20 and look at the drawing of king Solomon’s throne below.
