AVOID BEING A "SPIRITUAL SWINE"

For thousands of years God’s people have had a problem of staying holy, obedient and loyal to God.

3,500 years ago, Moses spoke these words - Deuteronomy 31:25-29

2,700 years ago the prophet Isaiah spoke these words - Isaiah 5:11-25

The prophet Amos was a contemporary of Isaiah and he spoke these words - Amos 6:1-8

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Groom, and that all people who are saved, sanctified and sealed by the Holy Spirit are the Bride - Revelation 19:1-9

Thousands upon thousands of Christians are committing spiritual adultery on a daily basis, and do not feel guilty over it! To them it is a way of life! James 4:1-5

The apostle Paul laid out a teaching on holiness of the Lord some 1,900 years ago, which is as valid today as it was then. It covers every VICE THAT THE DEVIL IS SERVING AT HIS TABLE OF FILTH, EVIL, LUST, GREED, FORNICATION, ADULTERY, BOOZE, DRUGS, ROCK-N-ROLL, PERVERSION, HOMOSEXUALITY, CHILD MOLESTATION, MURDER AND VIOLENCE, etc.

Let us look at the call to holiness:

1. No more dirty jokes and filthy talking - Ephesians 4:20-24, 5:4

2. No more lying - verse 25

3. No more rage and anger - verse 26

4. Give nothing to the Devil, except rebuke - verse 27

5. No more stealing - verse 28

6. No corrupt communication, no false teaching - verse 29

7. Grieve not the Holy Spirit - verse 30

8. No more bitterness, resentment and envy - verse 31

9. Be loving, kind and merciful, and follow God - verse 32, 5:1-2

10. No more sex outside marriage, this covers all sexual acts! verses 3-7

    Secular movies, TV programs, theater production, Las Vegas style shows are an abomination to God, and make the viewer spiritually filthy and loaded down with demons like warts on an old bull frog. Pornography is unacceptable to God! Matthew 5:27-28
     

11. A Christian is to have no fellowship with any sinful activities, regardless of what form it is presented in! Ephesians 5:8-13

12. Redeem the time - verses 14-20

On February 1, 2004 American churches sunk to another lower level of sin, when many organized Super Bowl parties in their churches, and invited violence, sleazy sexual dancing, vulgar songs, and sexually provoking cheerleaders. The Devil is running the same program as he did 3,500 years ago - Exodus 32:17-25

The conviction of sin is no longer present in the churches - Hosea 4:1-6

There is a famine for the Word of God - Amos 8:11-13
