These meetings did not stop and have moved to larger and larger venues because of all the people wanting to attend. He was the talk of the Christian media and people from all over the world were flocking to Lakeland to receive the "anointing." Due to his decidedly strange behavior and doctrines, we felt that creating a page with links to various articles and videos was in order because of the growing interest in him. UPDATE Todd Bentley is no longer in Lakeland and the meeting have been called off due to personal problems. The board of directors for Fresh Fire Ministries released a report that Bentley had "entered into an unhealthy relationship on an emotional level with a female member of his staff" while in Lakeland. Who is to say how far this relationship actually went and what kind of sexual misconduct took place? But we do know that Bentley filed for separation, soon thereafter, which in Canada is mandatory precursor to divorce. Thankfully the wild times of this so-called revival are over but I fear that there will be more problems within the Church as people who attended the Lakeland meetings will bring this unholy spirit to their churches and infect them too.
