GOD’S ANGELS

            God has from the very beginning of the creation used angels to carry out His commands. These holy angels are sinless, powerful, and perfect in carrying out the Lord’s commands. Furthermore, they are not sentimental and will without question do whatsoever Lord commands. God uses them to discipline His people, execute sinners when their cups of sin are full, and even control the Devil and his fellow fallen angels.

            Angels come in different ranks and powers. This is pointed out in the book of Daniel, when the angel told Daniel that he had been hindered for 21 days by the demon ruler of Persia, and was not able to break through the defenses of the Devil until Michael, a chief prince in the angelic world came to his rescue and destroyed the satanic resistance.

And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. Daniel 10:4-14

            The angel Michael is mentioned in the Book of Daniel as the protector of the seed of Abraham, which now is the Body of Christ, which consists of all saved people living on the earth, including Jews, Greeks and gentiles, both men and women.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galations 3:26-29

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Daniel 12:1

            Michael is also known as the commander in chief of the heavenly armed forces, which were sent out by God to combat the Devil and his fallen angels when they tried to unseat God and started a war in the heavens.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:7-10

GOD’S ANGEL

            This reference to an angel who is more like a personal “servant” is found in the following scripture:

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. Exodus 23:20-22

            This is a different angel which we know very little about. It is possible that this angel is Michael, who is an archangel, whom we have already looked upon as the Defender of God’s people (Daniel 12:1). Regardless, God warned Moses and the children of Israel that this angel would not display any mercy if he was provoked, there would only be swift judgment. (Note now that when the Bible speaks about the angel of God (Exodus 14:19), it is referring to Jesus. Jesus is referred to as the angel of the Lord, but in order to fully know if the text is referring to Jesus or a holy angel, we must read the text in its fullness.

            Moses understood that angels do not have the gift of mercy, and if they are provoked, they will swiftly meet out judgment. Therefore, Moses told God, that unless God Himself would go with them to the Promised Land, Moses did not want to go.

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. Exodus 33:11-17

ANGELS AS EXECUTIONERS

            This is a subject that most Christians are not comfortable with, and thus most preachers avoid teaching on this subject. But that does not mean that the subject will go away, God’s holy angels are here to stay and they will do their work, regardless if people know about it or not. Here are some examples:

When God was judging the people of Israel, the angel slew 70,000 Israelite men and he did not stop until God told him to. (2 Samuel 24:17)

In one night, 185,000 Assyrian soldiers were slain; no mercy was shown to them. (2 Kings 19:35)

A powerful warning is given to God’s people in Ezekiel chapter nine, when God tells a squad of angels to move into Jerusalem and show no mercy but start executing all backslidden Jews who had been marked.

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary.

 Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. Ezekiel 9:1-11

            The Book of Revelation is full of the God’s judgments upon mankind, and therefore, we should not take anything lightly and think nothing of it. We are moving into a time when judgments of God are going to be manifested on the earth. We have already seen tremendous destruction on the earth with huge losses of human life.

• The communists in the Soviet Union murdered millions of people they felt opposed their regime.
   

• Including civilians, the total death toll in World War II was more than 80 million people.
   

• The Chinese communists murdered more than 80 million people in China.
   

• There was the horrible mass murder in Cambodia in 1975, when half the population was put to death by the communists.
   

• There have been mass killings in Africa, Vietnam, and Indonesia; and even continues to this day.

            We will do well to take heed to what Jesus said about the end times:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:4-12

GOD IS CONTROLLING THE WEATHER BY HIS ANGELS

            Most people think that the weather on the earth is run on some kind of automatic program and do not give it much thought, however, this is not what the Bible teaches. Not only do God’s angels control of the weather, but they are also in charge of vegetation and the animal kingdom. Angels control the number of birds, fishes, insects, etc. They have to offset the damage man is doing to the environment. When men become careless and poisons the water and the earth, the angels allow plants and animals to die and in some instances to become extinct. Look at the words of Jesus:

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:28-31

Have you ever wondered: “Who is controlling the gender ratio in the animal kingdom?” Once man began to study biology, he found out that the ratio varies very little. Do the animals know how many males or females are going to be born? No. Until lately, man did not know how to control the ratio between boys and girls when medical doctors were able through gene splicing to determine the gender.

Most “educated” pastors over the years have dismissed the following verses as some kind of an allegory and not true facts, but here is what the Bible says, regardless what the liberal clergy might think.

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Revelation 7:1-3

            During the tribulation period, God’s angels are going to inflict devastation on the ecological system of the earth. For starters, 33% of all trees will be destroyed along with 100% of the green grass (Revelation 8:7); then 33% of the oceans will turn into blood (verse 8), along with 33% of marine life and ocean going vessels (verse 9). Then 33% of the earth’s fresh water will be made bitter and poisonous. (verses 10-11)

            This will be followed by a supernatural event that most Christians have not given much thought. I personally believe that the 24 hour rotation cycle of the earth will be changed, so that instead of the earth taking 24 hours to rotate, the speed will be increased and the rotation will happen in 16 hours. As a result, there will only be daylight for 8 hours, followed by 8 hours of darkness. Regardless how God’s angels will do it, a day and a night on earth will shrink to 16 hours. (Revelation 8:12-13)

            This event alone will create total havoc on the ecological system of the earth, since air and water temperature will be changed drastically. It will also upset the biological clock in all living beings, including man.

            As God’s judgments increase during the tribulation time, His angels are going to afflict all people who have taken the mark of the Beast with terrible sores which cannot be healed (Revelation 16:1-2). A second angel will cause the remainder of the oceans to turn into blood and all marine life will die at this time (Revelation 16:3). A third angel will destroy all the remaining fresh water on the earth (verse 4). Then a fourth angel will cause the sun’s temperature to rise so that the earth will be scorched (verses 8-9). Other angels will pour out their vials and cause much suffering for the people living on the earth with darkness, pain, earthquakes, and hail. (Revelation 16:10-21)

GOD HAS WARNED US OVER AND OVER AGAIN

            By reading the Book of Revelation, most Christians understand that things will be horrific during the end times, but what they have not grasped is that there will be a number of judgments prior to this time. These partial judgments from God will numerically increase and I now believe that we are in the Time of Sorrows mentioned by Jesus. (Matthew 24:8)

            God will always speak to His prophets living on earth before the judgment falls. This is a promise that the Lord gave through the prophet Amos.

 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? Amos 3:7-8

            Let us now examine what God has spoken in the past, which is applicable to the present time and the future.

WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE REFUSE TO LISTEN TO HIM

            For the last 50 years, people in the United States have lived a life of luxury, with the standard of living increasing every year. There are people living in poverty in America but this is only a small portion of the American people. No nation on the earth has had so much food to eat, comfortable homes to live in, multiple cars to drive, and nearly unlimited entertainment.

            The gods in America are the sport and movie stars who are worshipped and live a lavish lifestyle which would dwarf even the splendor of King Solomon. Throwing a birthday party by someone rich and famous will never cost less than half a million dollars, and the worshippers of these gods are more than happy to part with their money, so their gods can continue to live extravagantly.

            Women in America are getting manicures and pedicures in beauty parlors, having their ears and navels are pierced, tattooed on their bodies, wearing clothing that reveals as much skin as possible, driving expensive cars, and thinking nothing of sex outside of marriage.

            The men in America are just as spoiled; they worship at the altar of pornography, frequent bars and whorehouses, and spend their money on pleasurable luxury items.

            Did God bless America with the intention of turning people into sinful and lustful creatures, whose only purpose is finding the latest fad of sin to dishonor their bodies? No! God blessed America so that it could use its resources to preach the Gospel in every nation around the world. 

            In today’s world, it is hard to see the difference between an unsaved sinner and someone who claims to have been born again.     This is the cry of people in seeker friendly mega churches: “Give us pleasure, make us feel good, help us to have more material gain and while you’re at it, don’t preach on sin and judgment. Give us worship services of rock-n-roll; we don’t want hymns that speak of the blood of Jesus, Hell, and the Lake of Fire. We want a break between the worship and preaching with coffee and doughnuts, but don’t condemn us, just love us so that we can feel good about our way of life. Don’t tell us that Jesus is coming back soon, that is an old fashioned outdated theology. Oh, and don’t forget to make the preaching short so that it doesn’t take too much time away from the recreation afterwards. While you’re at it, we want our bodies to be healed, but we don’t want to live an obedient life according to the Bible. We want to live a pain free life and feed our flesh; we just want the good times to roll.”

            Young people in churches have been deceived by their youth pastors into believing that oral sex or “Christian sex” is fine before marriage as long as it does not escalate into full-blown sexual intercourse. Many Christian teenagers that date are into this kind of lifestyle.

            Are you a fundamental Christian who still reads the King James Bible and weeps over the sin in the churches? Read what God spoke to the people in Israel some 2,800 years ago:

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came! Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border? Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed. The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein. And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die. And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD. For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts. Amos 6:1-11

WHAT GOD WILL DO WHEN PEOPLE REFUSE TO REPENT

            In my opinion, the most vile and provocative sin in the church of Jesus Christ is the infiltration of secret societies, which for the last 150 years has been a growing cancer in the body of Christ. I am talking about Freemasons, the Moose Lodge, the Elk Lodge, Rosicrucian’s, etc. Thousands of pastors, elders, deacons and regular church members hold a dual membership in the church and in the secret society. They have taken an oath of death and sworn allegiance to the society which supersedes their love and loyalty for God and their families. This is not something that has come up lately but something that has been going on for thousands of years. God spoke clearly about this to the prophet Isaiah some 2,700 years ago. He will show no mercy to a man or a woman who has taken an oath of death, unless they repent and renounce their membership, and confess their sins to the congregation. Charles Finney, the greatest revival preacher this nation has ever seen, came out of the clutches of Freemasonry. It is interesting to note that Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, was a Freemason, and took the rituals and oaths he learned and made them part of the Mormon doctrine.

Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. Isaiah 28:14-18

            There are three judgments which are currently sweeping over the body of Christ in the Western World:

A FAMINE FOR THE WORD OF GOD (Amos 8:11-13)

This is showing up in the church starved by liberal and/or Freemasonic pastors who have taken away the use of the King James Bible. They have replaced it with a new version based on false manuscripts with thousands of verses tampered with and/or deleted. As a result, the poor church members don’t know what the Word of God says, and since they do not know the Bible, they obviously cannot line up with it, which will bring them to the next judgment of God.

REAPING THE WHIRLWIND (Hosea 8:1-7)

For the last few years we have seen many natural disasters happening in the United States. On the Southeastern part of the United States, hurricane after hurricane has come in along with many tornadoes reaching deep into the Midwest. There has been draught in other parts of the nation, massive fires burning million of acres, and lots of flooding. FEMA and the Red Cross cannot keep up with all the disasters and millions of people have not yet recovered from the last year. As of April 2006, some 70,000 people are still homeless in Mississippi, yet the local government has managed to get the gambling casinos back up and running again.

The worst disasters have been in the so-called “Bible Belt”. Is it possible that God selected this area because it is full of Christian churches that have left their first love? Revelation 2:1-7

There is a terrible divorce rate in our churches as thousands of pastors, elders, and deacons are hopelessly addicted to pornography; others are committing adultery, sodomy, child molestation, etc. Teenagers are not left alone, with pregnancy and suicide ranking high among them. This brings us to the third judgment.

PEOPLE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (Hosea 4:1-14)

Disease is rampant in the Christian community with cancer, arthritis, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, etc. As bad as that may be, worse still is the moral decay in our young people; they are having mental breakdowns and thousands of children being prescribed Ritalin to control their behavior. How many Christian men are taking sexual enhancement drugs in order to be able to fulfill their lusts and filthy sexual fantasies? How many abortions are taking place by those who confess Christ as their Lord and Savior? What about the terrible number of obese Christians? What about the increasing number of Alzheimer patients in the Christian community?

Jesus came not only to give us life and life abundant; yet how many Christians actually live a victorious life? John 10:7-11

YOU CANNOT FLEE FROM GOD!

            God has made it very clear in His Word, if a sinner tries to flee from the Lord, the punishment will follow him. The prophet Jonah is a perfect example. He tried to flee but was caught by God and placed in the belly of a great fish where he suffered greatly until he repented and thereafter released (Jonah chapters 1 & 2). God is not a respecter of persons, what He did for Jonah he will also do for you and me. Look at this scripture and tremble:

And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this. Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard. Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me. Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me. They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. Hosea 7:10-16

            Sooner or later God will catch you in an iron grip and deal with you. When this happens, it will be too late for you to try to repent. If you are reading this and living in sin, there is only one thing for you to do, turn from your wicked ways and repent right now.

GOD IS CALLING FOR HIS PEOPLE TO REPENT

            God doesn’t get any pleasure and joy in destroying people, rather, He wants people that are warned to repent and seek His face. Few people take the warnings from the God seriously; they believe that they can sin and repeatedly do so, and that somehow “God will understand.” Listen to these words from the Lord as He pleads with His people to repent:

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. Joel 2:12-18

            There is only one thing that God asks his people to do, OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS!  This is what Jesus said: If ye love me, keep my com-mandments. John 14:15

            God operates on the principle of love, if we claim to love our Lord and Savior; there is only one thing that He asks of us. We find it in a simple statement made by Jesus, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

            I believe that the 2006 year is going to be violent with a number of disasters striking not only the United States but also in many other parts of the world. As believers in Christ, there is one thing that we can do in order to make the world better and perhaps stay the hand of God at the same time; repent and make sure that we are living a holy life to the best of our abilities.

            Let me close with this message from the Word of God:

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:4-10
