Notes from the Front Line

by Laura Getting

It’s been ten months since I made a trip from Alaska to California to meet with Pastor John and see his ministry in person. We found EAEC on the internet through Omegaman Radio. My husband and I came for what we hoped would be a miraculous deliverance and God has indeed set us free from our demonic strongholds! We were ready to repent and turn away from the carnal world, a key point to being set free. We are thanking and praising God every day that He is longsuffering (as He promises) and patiently waited for me for over 30 years.

Right after our deliverance, we both noticed a dramatic difference in the connection we had with our Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit. We were thirsty for the Word of God and the Lord had us both interested in helping others find freedom. We also experienced the sensitivity of this spiritual connection. We decided we would watch a television show, searched for something appropriate and finally settled on a show about an entrepreneur that went overseas to start a company. The first episode was fine, however, by the third episode there was murder, prostitution, adultery, lying, cheating, and drugs. We immediately felt the “disconnect” from the Holy Spirit and God showed us that it is never okay to look upon such things. I did not like feeling distanced from God because I had just found my way back to Him! This feeling of disconnection was tangible and we felt the darkness that we had allowed into our home.

Since that time we have been seeing miracles and the mighty move of God’s hand as we prepared to move and join this ministry. We sold our house in a tough housing market in two hours for the full asking price and the new owner bought every piece of furniture in the house as well. It was the easiest move I have ever made in my life. As we traveled the Alaska Highway to California, we were so blessed and literally felt the prayers of everyone as we spent 9 days on the road. We pulled into one campground and other travelers were amazed that we weren’t all muddy. They were spending about twenty dollars to wash their cars and campers. One gentleman walked up in amazement and asked “How did you not get dirty?” I told him we were covered in prayer. “Wow, you are lucky!” was his response. I answered back, “I don’t need luck because I have Jesus!”

God is still active and performing healings and deliverance; He is still pouring out blessings! I would like more contact with our cyber members. I keep hearing people say, “I don’t want to write or call because you are so busy.” That is #32 in Satan’s playbook, trying to keep us from building faith and reaching out for prayer. If most people accept this lie, many won’t write or call in for help.

I have witnessed a woman’s leg grow an inch before my eyes and her back is now straight. I have seen numerous deliverances from foul, unclean and wicked spirits. A recent deliverance of a lady had such a heavy spiritual pressure on everyone present but it lifted after the last curse was broken. This heaviness is something I can’t properly describe but would be likened to a heavy weight placed on your shoulders. Afterwards, it felt like I was floating; God was present and touched us all. Then her heart was healed! A demon had a hold on her precious blood pump and it left in Jesus' name. We are getting rid of our glasses around here and needing new prescriptions because eyes are being healed!

I am learning to watch the words that come out of my mouth. In the deliverance process there is a powerful healing that comes when we acknowledge and pray over curses that have been spoken in their lives. Included in this are curses people have accepted and said concerning themselves.

Don’t give the enemy extra ammunition! I am asking you to pray about your words. They can cut like knives but they should be encouraging and cause a healing. Look at what our Heavenly Father says about words:

“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:24)

We just can’t go slinging around idle words. There will be consequences.

“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things   ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?” (James 3:10-11)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21)

What kind of fruit do you want to eat?
