SEARCH AND RESCUE MISSION

July 19, 1998

You and I are living on a planet in the universe that is out of control and has been condemned to be destroyed: 2 Peter 3:10-12

War has been raging on this planet for the last 12,000 years: Revelation 12:7-17

All people on this planet have been condemned to the Lake of Fire, except those , who have been rescued by Jesus.  Revelation 20:10-15

Out side of Christ, there is no hope for any human being on this planet: Romans 3:10-23

WHY DID JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, COME TO THIS GOD FORSAKEN PLANET?
To save the people on this planet - John 3:16-17
To save lives - Luke 9:51-56
To save lives - John 12:44-50
To save lives - 1 John 4:14
To destroy the works of the Satan - 1 John 3:8
To heal the sick - Acts 10:38
To set the captives free - Luke 4:17-1 9

Some 3,500 years ago God created a man to set the people of Israel free and lead them in righteousness.  Judges 13:1-20
Instead of setting Israel free and leading the people to salvation, Samson used the power of God for his own pleasure.  He became obsessed with sex- Judges 16:1-3
And then he set his desire upon the whore Delilah: Judges 16:4-13
She had only one purpose, to find out his strength and destroy him: verses 14-20
God let Samson flop around for 20 years, then the anointing left him: verse 21

BUT SAMSON NEVER FULFILLED HIS MISSION – HE FAILED!

Jesus was faithful to death and accomplished his mission - Hebrews 3:1-6

Jesus did not establish a personal base of operation on this earth while he walked with us in person - Luke 9:57-62

The rich young man was not willing to pay the price – Matt. 19:16-22

Jesus pointed the way to his disciples: Matt. 19:23-30
