"GRACE AND HOLINESS"
Part Seven

OBEDIENCE TO GOD IS THE KEY TO HAPPINESS!  John 15:1-7

Suffering sickness, with all of the pain and sorrow,  is very common among people today.  It should not be so among Christians, but the truth is that Christians are as sick as the unbelievers.

God said that IF WE LISTEN EXTREMELY CAREFULLY TO HIS VOICE AND OBEY HIM, HE WILL NOT LET SICKNESS TOUCH US! Exodus 15:26

Sickness is caused by several things.  Let us look upon what the Bible tells us will bring sickness and pain.

1. IDOLATRY:  It does not matter how you slice it, idolatry will bring sickness. Exodus 32:1-6, 33-35  Do not provoke God's Holy angels. Exodus 23:20-26

2. EATING THE WRONG FOOD:  Leviticus 11:1-10, 43-47

3. REBELLION AGAINST GOD:  I Samuel 15:10-23; Deuteronomy 28:14-68

4. PRACTICING WITCHCRAFT OR ANY OTHER OCCULT PRACTICE:  Deuteronomy 18:9-14; I Corinthians 10:1-13

5. UNABLE TO FORGIVE OTHER PEOPLE, INCLUDING YOURSELF:  Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25-26; Matthew 5:21-26

•         ANGER & ENVY:  Genesis 4:1-12; Proverbs 22:24-25; 27:4

•         BITTERNESS:  Proverbs 5:1-13; Hebrews 12:14-17

   6.  GRIEF AND SORROW:  Proverbs 15:13; 17:22
