AS A MINISTRY, WHAT IS AHEAD OF US?

Man will not voluntarily deal with his sins and the problems sin creates. Therefore God will create a crisis that WILL FORCE man to cry out for help. This was the situation during the lifetime of Gideon. Judges 6:1

Instead of dealing with the problem, the children of Israel tried to run away from it. Verse 2

God does not put up with this kind of behavior.  He will increase the pressure until the person either cries out for help or dies. Verses 3-6

When God responds, he will begin by laying out the truth - Verses 7-10

God selected a "NOBODY" to be his tool of deliverance - Verses 11-12

This Nobody (Gideon) started to blame God - Verse 13

God ignored Gideon, and told him what He wanted done - Verse 14

Gideon repeated what Moses had said some 100 years earlier - Verses 15-24

Then it was time for action - Verses 25-27

The Devil reacted at once - Verses 28-30

After Gideon received support from his father, he still had unbelief - Verses 31-40

Now, it was the time for deliverance:

1. The fearful men were sent home - Judges 7:1-3

2. All self centered men were sent home - Verses 4-7

3. The 300 men were used by God to bring victory - Verses 8-25

Here are four important questions for each of us! Our nation is worse off today than Israel was before Gideon was used by God to deliver them. ARE WE GOING TO RESPOND TO GOD’S CALL AS RECORDED IN THE BIBLE? Matthew 28:18-20

1. What’s in it for me? On Earth - Deuteronomy 28:1-15; In Heaven - Matthew 19:27-30

2. What’s in it for my children?  Exodus 20:1-5

3. What’s in it for our nation?  Proverbs 14:34

4. What’s in it for God?  Luke 9:54-56

God is dealing with Resurrection Life of Jesus Church. The financial crisis caused us to lose our building.  We have now dealt with the spirit of Jezebel Revelation 2:18-29

(Jezebel, daughter of a priest of Astarte, goddess of sensual love {sentimentality} fertility, war and sex. She was worshiped in immoral, perverted sexual activities. The name Jezebel means "without cohabitation," in our language today "living in rebellion against God.")

Now remains our need to come back to our first love - Revelation 2:1-7

Some ten years ago this prophecy was given to Resurrection Life of Jesus Church:

            THOSE WHO ARE WITH YOU CANNOT LEAVE,

            THOSE WHO ARE NOT WITH YOU CANNOT STAY!
