NO POWER WITHOUT HOLINESS

Eli, the priest, did not understand what holiness was; he did not understand that without holiness he could not stand before the Lord. 1 Samuel 2:12-17  (Belial means worthless)

Eli did not exercise his leadership and take control of his sons; instead he just mildly rebuked them. Verses 22-25

The glory of God was departed from Israel and with it the power of God - 1 Samuel 4:1-22

This was not the first time that it happened to Israel - Joshua 7:1-13

Compromise will eventually lead to death - 1 Samuel 28:3-19

There was nothing more that king Saul could do, except to accept the fact that life on earth was over for him, and that was that. 1 Samuel 31:1-6

MEN OF GOD WHO DID NOT COMPROMISE

Joseph - Gen.39:1-23
Daniel - Daniel 1:8-21
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego - Daniel 3:1-18

Jesus flatly refused to compromise - Matthew 4:1-11

Be you holy .... 1 Peter 1:6-17

    Repentance leads to salvation

        Salvation leads to faith in God

Faith leads to holiness

                    Holiness leads to faithfulness

            Hebrews 3:1-19

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness - Psalm 96:1-13
