UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
PART TEN - E     MOSES, GOD’S MAN

There was an affliction that Moses was going to be plagued with until the time of his
death: UNSATISFIED, UNTHANKFUL, GRIPING, CRYING PEOPLE, WHO REFUSED TO GROW UP SPIRITUALLY AND TRUST IN GOD! Once the children of Israel realized that they were in the desert, in a place with no vegetation, they lost it. Exodus 16:1-3

There is nothing more joy-killing, than a sniveling complainer who can never be satisfied or content! Even God thinks so! 1 Corinthians 10:1-11

God knew before the creation, that once He had rescued the Hebrew children out of Egypt, He would have a bunch of "cry babies" to contend with. The provision of bread was planned by God - Exodus 16:4 - 5

We can now see that the FAITH TRAINING which Moses had received during his 40 years in the wilderness as a sheepherder was paying off.  Before anything had happened, Moses KNEW IN HIS SPIRIT THAT GOD HAD ALL THINGS UNDER CONTROL !!!! Verses 6-9

When Moses responded in faith, the Glory of the Lord appeared - V.10-12

The same promise is given to us today - Matthew 6:25-34; Do you believe JESUS ????

But people are people. There is always stubbornness and unbelief. They were told how to gather it, but some hoarded, others went out on the 7^th day - Exodus 16:13-31

These miracles of bread and flesh did nothing for the people. When God tested them again, they were ready to kill Moses by stoning him - Exodus 17:1-7

No sooner had God resolved this crisis, when the next test came along -- WAR!

Moses did not panic. In faith he lined up his forces and there was victory - V.8-13

Amalek represents the Devil and his demons. There will be war with the Devil from generation to generation - Verses 14-16

It was now time for Moses to delegate duties to other capable leaders who could be trusted. This was another step of faith for Moses - Exodus 18:13-27

Moses was now living a dual life: part of his time was spent leading and governing the children of Israel, and part was spent with God himself, where Moses had access to the very presence of God -- Exodus 19:1-25

Never before in the history of mankind had God given such specific laws which were to become, not only the foundation for Israel, but for all nations where Christ was going to be preached reaching down to our day, 4,000 years later. Until around 1900 A.D., God’s sacred laws have been the foundation for the laws in Western Europe (except France), England, the United States and Canada.

Moses, the man of God, received them and passed them on 4,000 years ago!
Exodus 20:1-17

Instead of seeking the Lord with all their hearts, the people rejected a personal relationship with the Lord - Verses 18-21

Hear what God told them - Verses 22-26

Do you now understand the words of Jesus? Matthew 5:13-19

If you do, are you obeying Jesus ? John 14:15
