UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
THE BOOK OF REVELATION - PART 20

CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Verses 1-5:
Jesus is now taking the apostle John back up into heaven, to the very throne room of God.
It is showing the apostle that regardless of the chaos and evil on earth at this time, there is no chaos in heaven, no crisis, God has all things under total control.

The significance of 144,000 men, not having been married on earth, neither having had sex with women is not explained. It is only stated that this is the way it is. Neither does it tell us, that men should reject marriage. These men have been saved prior on earth and washed in the blood of Jesus, and now they have become perfect, sinless as they reside in heaven with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Verses 6-7:
Some preachers, especially some TV evangelists are stating that these verses refer to satellites, broadcasting the Gospel to earth today. I do not see that the text supports this belief system. Just like the Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph [Matt.1:18-25] and later Gabriel to Mary [Luke 1:26-38], so an angel of the Lord is going to make sure that the Gospel is heard by the people living under the terrible rule of the Antichrist, and Satan is not able to stop this angel from getting his message out.

Verse 8
Here is another angel following, broadcasting that Babylon now is fallen. Dictators do not want news of any set backs for them to be known by the people, but God is making sure that the bad news for the Antichrist is made known to all people on the earth.

Verses 9-11
This is the most important prophetic writing in the New Testament. This is a prophecy that must be taken literal and without any doubt. If a person does not heed this warning, but takes the mark of the Beast, he is doomed to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. There are no ifs, buts or questions about this, take the mark of the Beast and you have sentenced yourself to eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire!

Verses 12-13
Jesus is now giving strong encouragement to the believers in Christ. To those living at this time, do not try to hang on to life any more, if you are arrested, tortured and tried for bucking the Antichrist system, it is better to suffer and let them kill you. This is what happened to the first century Christians. The Apostle Paul was one of them - 2 Timothy 4:1-22

But know this: IF YOU CANNOT RESIST WATCHING UNGODLY TV PROGRAMS, OR MOVIES, OR SAY NO TO NICOTINE, ALCOHOL, DRUGS, SEX OUTSIDE MARRIAGE, ETC, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BE ABLE TO SAY NO TO THE MARK OF THE BEAST?  Daniel 3:1-30

Verses 14-20
These verses give an overview of what is going to happen at the very end of times, when Jesus shall come back to the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. Today Jesus is love and forgiveness; at that day Jesus will be wrath and judgment! Today Jesus is gentle and longsuffering; at the judgment day Jesus will show no mercy on the men and women who have consistently rejected him. Revelation 19:11-21

This is going to be the biggest mass execution in the history of the earth, when billions of men, women and children will be slain without mercy. The blood will come up to a height of around four feet and the lake of blood will be 160 miles wide.

This is going to be the greatest tragedy of the human race, but men will not take heed, despite that the warning was written some 1,900 years ago. Today it is mostly ignored by the church leaders and rejected by the unsaved people. Even this is predicted in the Bible!  Revelation 9:20-21

When this event is just about to take place, the biggest prayer meeting on the earth will take place, but this will be one prayer meeting that God will reject!  Revelation 6:12-17

Do you have an ear with which to hear? 

Do you have an understanding of the Word of God?

Cry out to God for his anointing to come upon you!
