We sing a song, "Near to the heart of God . . . a place of quiet rest . . . where sin cannot molest; . . . a place of comfort sweet . . . a place where we our Savior meet; . . . a place of full release . . . a place where all is joy and peace." Isaiah 28:10; 2Corinthinas 3:18.

Becoming "hot" for God does not mean becoming more zealous in what you already know. It means getting to know more!!! -- precept upon precept; line upon line.

2002 In Review . . . .

Where do your desires come from? What does God will that you do with them? Psalm 37:1-6; What do we do with them? James 4:1-3

James is not talking to the world here! Look at Chapters 1:2,16,19; 2:1,5,14; 3:1,10,12?  "My brethren . . ." -- 9 Times!

SIN KILLS . . . Romans 6:23.  For the wages of sin is death;. . .

. . . OBEDIENCE HEALS -- Deuteronomy 28:2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

We must separate our desires from lusts.  John 14:15,21; John 15:10.

Matthew 19:16-19 (Just in case you thought "commandments" meant something else).

I John 2:3; 3:22; 5:2-3; 2John 1:6; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14.

Ritual does not matter to God, it is your walk!  Isaiah 1:10-20; Isaiah 58:1-14.

Can you tell me, on average, the most expensive purchase you'll ever make?

        Home?

                Automobile?

                        The most expensive purchase you'll ever make may just be your  Television set!    And you may never know just how much it has cost you.
