RLJ-854OL THE DEPARTURE
OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Given to John S. Torell December 28, 2002 by the Holy Spirit 5 January 2003 If a human being is not given eternal life in heaven, it will be eternal life in the Lake of Fire, a separation from God FOREVER! Revelation 20:10-15 The Devil does not want men and women to know this truth. He does not want them to have eternal life in heaven. 2 Corinthians 4:1-4; Ephesians 2:1-5 When the Bible talks about death, we must understand that there are two kinds of death: 1. Physical death 2. Spiritual death, also known as the second death - Revelation 20:5-6 Spiritual death, or the second death does not mean that a person ceases to exist, but that the person is eternally separated from God, never again to have access to the Heavenly Father. Revelation 20:14-15 Unbelievers who keep rejecting the truth of God, will be turned over to lying spirits, that they not only will die physically, but also spiritually! 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 The Holy Spirit is no longer working with them! When believers in Christ operate in their own strength and make their own decisions, it will eventually lead to an early physical death. Let us look on this example in the Bible, 2 Chronicles, Chapter 18. The king of Israel (the ten northern tribes, with its capitol Samaria) and the king of Judah (the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, with its capitol of Jerusalem) became friends. 2 Chronicles 18:1-2 King Jehoshaphat from Jerusalem was walking with God! 2 Chronicles 17:1-6 King Ahab was in a backslidden condition, living in sin. God later reprimanded Jehoshaphat for having a close relationship with a man that hated God . 2 Chronicles 19:1-3 Ahab wanted to go to war against Syria and suggested that Jehoshaphat join him. Ahab had no intention of finding out if this was or was not God’s will. 2 Chronicles 18:3 Jehoshaphat did not want to go, unless he knew God’s will - Verse 4 Ahab gathered together 400 prophets, who were only telling what the king wanted to hear - Verse 5 Jehoshaphat realized that he was watching a bunch of "religious men" who had no access to the heart of God! In a rebuke, he asked if there was not a man of God in Samaria who they could ask. Verse 6 Ahab had to confess that there was a true man of God in Samaria, but he did not like him - Verses 7-8 The king of Israel and the king of Judah then had the man of God brought in to the royal palace to hear what he had to say. Verse 9 The royal military officer who went to bring Micaiah to the kings, had a little talk with him to make sure "he was kept up to speed" with what the king wanted to hear, so that he would be politically correct while the rest of the four hundred prophets carried on their religious fervor - Verses 10-12 Micaiah refused to cave in to the political pressure, he insisted on speaking what God gave him - Verse 13 When he stood before the two kings, he mocked Ahab and told him to go ahead, don’t worry. Verse 14 Ahab could see the mockery and demanded to hear the truth - Verse 15 Ahab did not like the truth from God - Verse 17 Now Micaiah revealed what had taken place in the throne room in heaven and what the outcome would be - Verses 18-22 Now the religious leadership took over and attacked the man of God - Verse 23 Truth was now given to the leaders of the false prophets - Verse 24 Despite having heard the TRUTH FROM GOD, AHAB ARRESTED THE MAN OF GOD AND PUT HIM IN PRISON SO THAT LATER HE COULD EXECUTE HIM! Verses 25-26 Micaiah tried to appeal to the people, but to no avail - Verse 27 The two kings went to war, and Ahab died, just as God had said - Verses 28-34 The believers in Christ are given a strong warning by the apostle Paul, to work out our salvation with fear and trembling! JESUS IS LORD! Philippians 2:9-11 WE ARE TO WORK OUT THIS GREAT SALVATION! Verse 12 WORK IT OUT WITHOUT MURMURING! Verse 13 BE BLAMELESS! Verse 15 HOLD FORTH THE WORD OF GOD! Verse 16 NOTE! THIS IS NOT A FEAR OF LOSING YOUR SALVATION, BUT A FEAR OF LOSING GOD’S PRESENCE! Psalm 51:1-12 Do you have an ear with which to hear? To be continued . . . . |
