RLJ-869 UNDERSTANDING
THE KINGDOM OF GOD John S. Torell April 20, 2003 CHAPTER TWENTY TWO Verse 1: We do know from the previous chapter that there will be no more oceans on the new planet earth. This water of life will sustain the trees of life. In the garden of Eden there was only one tree - Genesis 2:9; 3:22-24, here there are going to be a number of them, lining the river flowing from God. During the 1000 years kingdom, there will also be a river - Ezekiel 47:1-12 We must also note that the throne of God is referred to as the Father and the Son, in the new Jerusalem. Verse 2: Again we are told that there will be nations, made up of living beings needing the leaves for staying healthy. Who these living beings are, we will not know until we arrive at this time, but it is obvious that they shall be created after the New Creation has come into being. Verse 3: This is the second time we are told about the throne of God and the Lamb. Since there shall be no more curse, it means that the New Creation will be free from all sin! There will be another great difference: On this earth few believers in Christ really serve God! MOST CHRISTIANS ARE PART TIMERS, SERVING GOD WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT OR HAVE TIME FOR IT! In the New Creation, ALL BELIEVERS IN CHRIST SHALL SERVE GOD AT ALL TIMES! Matthew 19:16-30 Verse 4: There are not going to be any "back seat Christians" in the New Creation, His name shall be printed on our foreheads and we shall behold the Father face to face! 1 John 3:1-2; Revelation 3:12-13 Verse 5: We are told two outstanding truths in this verse:
Verse 6: We are now told that this revelation to the apostle John are not only true, but it is faithful, which means IT SHALL ALL BE FULFILLED TO THE LAST LETTER! Let us close this message, by praying Psalms 42 as we now cry out with understanding to our heavenly Father. Do you have an ear to hear with? To be continued... |
