RLJ-881 OUR MISSION IN
THE KINGDOM OF GOD John S. Torell July 13, 2003 Once a person is saved, baptized in water and in the Holy Ghost and then set free from evil spirits, it is then time to grow and mature in Christ. Hebrews 5:11-14; 6:1-3 Many Christians are never able to grow and mature in Christ, because they are still infested with demons after they are born again. This is a hidden truth, which is guarded by well meaning pastors and teachers; and because this truth is hidden to the believers in Christ, it has a devastating effect in the lives of new Christians. Here is the hidden truth: EVIL SPIRITS ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY REMOVED FROM A PERSON WHEN THEY ACCEPT CHRIST AND ARE BORN AGAIN. THE REMOVAL OF ALL EVIL SPIRITS TAKES AN ACT OF WILL ON BEHALF OF THE PERSON THEM SELF, AND IN MOST CASES THE PERSON MUST HAVE HELP FROM OTHER CHRISTIANS. Romans 12:1-2; II Cor.10:3-6; I Peter 1:13-25; 5:6-9 For many Christians it is hard to grow up in Christ due to severe soul damage, caused by traumas and arrested development spirits. Each person having been delivered will first experience a great growth process, and then they will hit a wall. This wall, is the same set of problems that derailed them as children or teenagers. The apostle Paul describes this inner battle - Romans 7:4-25 There is a class of Satanic beings known as "Sin," who have the rank of "Principality" - Ephesians 6:12. They outrank all other Satanic spirits (demons) and there is a "Spirit of Sin" assigned to every human being on this planet. The assignment of the Spirit of Sin is to dominate the person and lead him to spiritual destruction. Romans 6:12-23 A Spirit of Sin can be spotted by these signs: The delivered Christian is slipping back into lying again, by picking up the old habits, not too fast to begin with, and then accelerating back into old sins. II Peter 2:18-22 Watching TV, videos, smoking, drinking, cussing, showing anger, being less merciful, and the list can go on and on. This will be followed by criticism and blaming problems on other people, instead of taking responsibility. There is only one solution, TOTAL HONESTY AND A TOTAL WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD! 1 John 1:4-10
A backslidden Christian does not want to attend prayer meetings! Neither does he want to read the Bible, pray for himself or witness to others about Christ. He will lose the joy of the Lord, become angry, cranky, miserable, irritated and heaping criticism on those who are still walking with Christ! Eventually he will drop out of church completely, citing his great excuse: I CANNOT STAND ALL THESE HYPOCRITES IN THE CHURCH! NOT REALIZING THAT HE IS THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITE OF THEM ALL! James 3:8-18 This condition brings great joy to the Devil and all his fallen angels and grief to our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost! Let us close this part of the message, by inspecting what kind of fruit we have in our lives! Galatians 5:13-26 To him that has an ear, let him hear! To be continued... |
