John S. Torell January 4, 2004 The New Testament is teaching that the relationship between Christ and his disciples is like a marriage. Jesus Christ is the Groom and the saved people are called the Bride of Christ. Revelation 19:1-9 Beginning with the early church as Jesus set it up, marriage was to be a sacred union between one man and one woman, and both of them were to be faithful to each other and not commit adultery. Matthew 5:27-32; 19:3-12 OBEDIENCE When God created Lucifer, he was created as one of the
most beautiful, talented, powerful, intelligent and wise angels. Ezekiel
28:11-15 KEEPING YOUR DELIVERANCE The Devil does not mind that a Christian reads his Bible, says his prayers and even worships the Lord God, The Christian can even state, "that he loves God with all his heart." In the Old Testament time salvation depended upon faith in God, that He was going to send a Messiah to the earth, and that this Messiah was going to pay the penalty of sin. Romans 4:1-25 The apostle Paul makes it extremely clear - Ephesians 2:1-18 Redemption is the sole work of God in Christ! Hebrews 9:11-26 Man can add nothing to this redemption, man’s responsibility is to receive it! John 1:9-14 When does a person receive eternal life? At the moment of the new birth or at the moment of death? I John 5:4-15 Can anyone take away a person’s salvation? John 10:23-30 According to the Apostle Paul, we are to build upon this salvation foundation. I Corinthians 3:11-15 There will be a judgment for Christians in the next life. II Corinthians 5:6-11 Paul calls this "working out our salvation." Philippians 2:9-16 What does Jesus expect from his bride? He has laid it out in the Book of Revelation:
