WHAT IS THE CORRECT CHRISTIAN
DOCTRINE?
In order to know and
discern false doctrine, every saved person must first know what correct doctrine
is as presented in the Bible. Let’s take a look at the very basic beliefs of
Christianity.
THE DEITY OF JESUS
- Jesus Christ is the Son
of God. John 1:1-14
- He was also a man, born
to a virgin. Luke 1:26-35
- Jesus lived a sinless
life on this earth. Isaiah 53:3-7; II Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:14-15
- Jesus died on the cross
for the sins of all humans past, present and the future. John 3:14-17; Acts
4:5-14
- Jesus rose from the
grave on the third day. Matthew 27:57-66; 28:1-7; Revelation 1:10-18
- Jesus ascended up into
heaven 40 days after his resurrection. Acts 1:3; 9-11
- Seven days later the
entire apostolic church was baptized in the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4
- From the very beginning
of the ministry of Jesus, the controversy was over his divinity. People could
see that he was a man, but they could not accept that he was also God. Luke
4:14-30
- The religion of
Islam is teaching that Jesus was a great prophet.
- Jehovah’s Witnesses
teach that Jesus was not God.
- The Mormons teaches
that God is an evolved man, and that Jesus was just one of his many sons.
- The Devil attacked the
deity of Jesus, and that lie is repeated by unbelievers some 1900 years
later. Matthew 4:1-7
