“Hurricane Katrina was the eleventh named tropical storm, fourth hurricane, third major hurricane, and first Category 5 hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. It first made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane just north of Miami, Florida, on August 25, 2005, then again on August 29 along the Central Gulf Coast near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 4 storm. Katrina resulted in breaches of the levee system that protected New Orleans from Lake Pontchartrain, and most of the city was subsequently flooded by the lake's waters. This and other major damage to the coastal regions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama made Katrina the most destructive and costliest natural disaster in the history of the United States.

“The official death toll now stands at 1,203 and the damage higher than $200 billion, topping Hurricane Andrew as the most expensive natural disaster in U.S. history. Over a million people were displaced – a humanitarian crisis on a scale unseen in the U.S. since the Great Depression.

“In Louisiana, the hurricane's eye made landfall at 6:10 am CDT on Monday, August 29. After 11:00 am CDT, several sections of the levee system in New Orleans collapsed. Mandatory evacuation of New Orleans had been ordered by Mayor Ray Nagin before the hurricane struck, on August 28. The order was repeated on August 31. By early September, people were being forcibly evacuated, mostly by bus to neighboring states.

“Federal disaster declarations blanketed 90,000 square miles (233,000 km) of the United States, an area almost as large as the United Kingdom. The hurricane left an estimated five million people without power, and it may take up to two months for all power to be restored. On September 3, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff described the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as ‘probably the worst catastrophe, or set of catastrophes’ in the country's history, referring to the hurricane itself plus the flooding of New Orleans.”

HURRICANE RITA
“Hurricane Rita was the seventeenth named tropical storm, ninth hurricane, fifth major hurricane, and second Category 5 hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. This hurricane is on record as being the strongest measured hurricane to ever have entered the Gulf of Mexico, and the third most intense hurricane ever in the Atlantic Basin. After peaking in strength at 175 mph (280 km/h) steady winds, it made landfall between Sabine Pass, Texas, and Johnson's Bayou, Louisiana, at 02:38 CDT (07:38 UTC) on September 24, 2005 as a Category 3 hurricane, with wind speeds of 120 mph (190 km/h) and a storm surge of 10 feet (3 m).

“The storm first struck Florida after making an approach near Cuba and went on to strike Texas and Louisiana. It is doubtful that Cuba saw sustained tropical storm force winds. A day prior to landfall, the resultant storm surge also reopened some of the levee breaches caused by Hurricane Katrina a month earlier, and re-flooded parts of New Orleans. Post-landfall damage was extensive in the coastal areas in southwestern Louisiana and extreme southeastern Texas.

“Because the Gulf of Mexico is a major center for crude oil production and refineries, as well as home to some of the busiest ports in the world, Rita initially presented the potential to do damage beyond the localized wind and wave surge. These concerns have so far not been realized, as no reports emerged of long-term damage to the major U.S. refining and shipping capacities in Houston, Texas City, Port Arthur, Texas or Beaumont, Texas. Power outages may have the greatest related effect.

“National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported Rita's record-setting Category 5 strength as a result of achieving a minimum central pressure of 897 millibars (hPa) (26.49 inches of mercury) on the afternoon of September 21, 2005. This record strength steadily diminished prior to landfall after Rita moved over cooler waters in the northern Gulf of Mexico.”

God killed every human being, including animals, birds and insects with the great flood, and only saved Noah and his family and select animals, birds and insects. Why? Because the wickedness was so great on the earth, that there was no redemption for these people and the animals, birds and insects they had polluted with cross breading, genetic changes and cloning. Genesis 6:1-22

When the people in Sodom and Gomorrah refused to repent and insisted on continuing in their sins, God killed them all, men, women and children and their animals with fire and brimstone from the sky. Genesis 19:1-29

God judged Pharaoh and his entire army, including their horses, and drowned them all in the Red Sea. Exodus 14:23-28

When Nadab and Abiram, the sons of Aaron decided to change the ritual in their performance at God's altar, he struck them dead. Leviticus 10:1-2

When Korah and his followers rose up in rebellion against Moses, God did not only kill the men involved in the rebellion, but also their wives and children. Numbers 16:1-49

There is one place in the Bible where we can see clearly the two sides of God, his goodness, grace and mercy and then his wrath that will not cease until the object of his fierce anger is destroyed. We find this in Chapter 28 of Deuteronomy. Let us look at these verses:

His goodness:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Deuteronomy 28:1-8

His wrath:

The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods (tumors), and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Deuteronomy 28:15-29

When King David was disobedient and counted how many soldiers he could muster, God gave him three judgments from which to choose.

And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite. 2 Samuel 24:10-16

God had his angel execute 70,000 men to pay for the sins of King David. This troubled King David greatly, but he could not change the heart of God.

And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house. 2 Samuel 24:17

Through the prophet Amos, God spoke to the people of Israel, that He will use natural catastrophes to punish his people when they have left him to live in sin. Look what God is stating:

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name. Amos 4:7-13

The prophet Isaiah gives us the following message from God:

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Isaiah 45:5-7

When God spoke here of evil, He is referring to His judgments against people who have rebelled against Him.

Jesus stated what the conditions would be in the last days on the earth, which He called a "Time of Sorrows:"

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:1-8

But it is in the Book of Revelation that Jesus reveals the terrible events which shall come on this earth. To the men and women who have and are rejecting the love of God and refusing to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, the book of Revelation is a terrible reading of the judgments which shall befall the people on the earth. When Christ finally comes back to end the current life on earth, judge all men and then send those who are not written in the Book of Life to the Lake of Fire, the unsaved masses are going to conduct the biggest prayer meeting ever on this earth, praying to the rocks:

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:12-17

A Flu Hope, Or Horror?

“While official Washington has been poring over Harriet Miers's long-ago doings on the Dallas City Council and parsing the byzantine comings and goings of the Patrick Fitzgerald grand jury, relatively unnoticed was perhaps the most momentous event of our lifetime – what is left of it, as I shall explain. It was announced last week that U.S. scientists have just created a living, killing copy of the 1918 ‘Spanish’ flu.”

‘This is big. Very big.’

“First, it is a scientific achievement of staggering proportions. The Spanish flu has not been seen on this blue planet for 85 years. Its re-creation is a story of enterprise, ingenuity, serendipity, hard work and sheer brilliance. It involves finding deep in the bowels of a military hospital in Washington a couple of tissue samples from the lungs of soldiers who died in 1918 -- in an autopsy collection first ordered into existence by Abraham Lincoln -- and the disinterment of an Alaskan Eskimo who died of the flu and whose remains had been preserved by the permafrost. Then, using slicing and dicing techniques only Michael Crichton could imagine, they pulled off a microbiological Jurassic Park: the first-ever resurrection of an ancient pathogen. And not just any ancient pathogen, explained virologist Eddie Holmes, but ‘the agent of the most important disease pandemic in human history’.

“Which brings us to the second element of this story: Beyond the brilliance lies the sheer terror. We have brought back to life an agent of near-biblical destruction. It killed more people in six months than were killed in the four years of World War I. It killed more humans than any other disease of similar duration in the history of the world, says Alfred W. Crosby, who wrote a history of the 1918 pandemic. And, notes New Scientist magazine, when the re-created virus was given to mice in heavily quarantined laboratories in Atlanta, it killed the mice more quickly than any other flu virus ever tested.”

“If avian flu becomes more than a threatened pandemic, it will have done so by political and economic design. This thesis is supported by current massive media misrepresentations, profiteering on risky and valueless vaccines, gross neglect of data evidencing earlier similar man-made plaques including SARS, West Nile Virus, AIDS and more; continuance of genetic studies breeding more mutant flu viruses likely to outbreak, inside trading scandals involving pandemic savvy White House and drug industry officials, curious immunity of these pharmaceutical entities over the past century to law enforcement and mainstream media scrutiny, and published official depopulation objectives. With the revelations and assertions advanced herein, the public is forewarned against this physician assisted mass murder best termed ‘iatrogenocide.’ This genocidal imposition is expected to serve mainly economic and political depopulation objectives.”

“In April, 2003, a social experiment called SARS, said to have arrived from Asia, heavily struck Toronto. I was there throughout most of this Asian flu-foreshadowing fright. This bizarre new pneumonia-like illness was named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. It was said to be the latest threat in an ongoing series of attacks on humanity by mysteriously mutating ‘supergerms.’

“A careful study of the scientific and medical-sociological correlates and antecedents of this "outbreak" revealed something amiss far more insidious than SARS. I critically considered Toronto's media reaction as any Harvard-trained public health expert in media persuasion behavioral science might. The scourge had all the earmarks of a novel social experiment conducted by white-collar bioterrorist.

‘It seemed clear to me that this unprecedented population manipulation effectively indoctrinated the mass mind in support of a grossly ineffective, albeit legislated, public health response in advance of the arrival of "the Big One." Throughout the "SARS Scam",(1) repeated references were made to biological agents that might facilitate decimation of approximately a third to half of the world's population. Having extensively reviewed political population control literature and contemporary objectives of leading global industrialists, I noted these predictions were in close keeping with current official population reduction objectives.

“(2) Canada's response to SARS in 2003 was, for the first time in history, directed by the United Nations and World Health Organization (WHO). Having reviewed the intimate financial and administrative ties between these organizations, the Rockefeller family, Carnegie Foundation, and the world's leading drug makers, ‘the fox,’ in essence, reigned over Canada's ‘chickens.’

“The truth about plagues includes the fact that ‘no grand pandemic ever evolved divorced from major socio-political upheaval.’ SARS advanced a political agenda more than a public health emergency. If public health officials earnestly intended to prevent these new emerging diseases, or successfully treat them at their roots, I repeated, they would study their obvious origins from the merged military-medical-biotechnology arena. A basic course in medical sociology simply justifies this utilitarian counsel.

"’Experts’ had been predicting the arrival of a super-plague for decades. What was HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS about the mysterious and terrifying arrival of SARS, however, was its timing. It synchronously arrived with the global war on terrorism, and the Anglo-American war with Iraq. It seemed a convenient distraction from the fact that the earlier Bush administration had shipped Saddam Hussein most of his deadly biological weapons arsenal including anthrax and West Nile Virus. SARS was pathognomonic (i.e., symptomatic and characteristic) of what I had predicted and explained in the book, Death in the Air: Globalism, Terrorism and Toxic Warfare (Tetrahedron Publishing Group, 2001), a prophetically-titled text that predated the 9-11 attacks on America by several months, and provided a contextual analysis of certain globalists, links to recent "outbreaks.

Nelson Rockefeller's protégé, Henry Kissinger, for instance, as National Security Advisor (NSA) under Richard Nixon, oversaw foreign policy while considering Third World population reduction "necessities" for the U.S., Britain, Germany, and other allies.”

WHAT YOU AS A CHRISTIAN CAN DO IN TIMES LIKE THESE

Examine yourself that you are not living in sin. Check your spiritual life against the scriptures found in Galatians 5:13-26. If you come up short, apply 1 John 1:4-10. Make sure that you are baptized in the Holy Spirit - Acts 19:1-7

Start interceding for the people in our nation, pleading that God will pour out the gift of repentance, so that men and women can repent of their sins and turn back to God.

Pray for all Christian pastors in the nation, including your own pastor. If you can, set an appointment with your pastor and discuss this news bulletin with him, and ask him if he is willing to preach on repentance in your church.

Regardless if you live in a city or in the countryside, you should start laying up food supplies and essential items that you would need if a disaster happens in your area. In these last three hurricanes it was pointed out over and over again by local government officials, that in the case of a disaster, people must be prepared to fend for themselves for at least three days.

Don't stock up on food which must be kept refrigerated or frozen. Remember this, that the first things to be lost will be electricity, water and natural gas.

Buy yourself a small radio that has the capacity to be wound up and then able to run for an hour or so, before you have to wind it up again. This will be your only communication from government sources. In most disasters telephones and cell phones will cease to function.

Try to have a small supply of gasoline or diesel for your car, so in case there is a mandatory evacuation order, you can get out. Remember, service stations will quickly run out of fuel, once the word is out to evacuate. And since service station pumps run off electricity, once the power is lost in your area, no gasoline can be pumped, even if the service station has fuel in its tanks.

Prepare yourself like you were going camping. It's not bad to have a small tent, air mattress and sleeping bag. Have all things ready, neatly stacked, so that if an earthquake hits your area, you will be able to get out and set up shelter in a different location. Flashlights, matches, toilet paper, handy wipes etc, will be greatly appreciated in case of a disaster. Its not bad idea to have a suitcase packed with some essential clothing and rain gear. When a disaster strikes, you may have less than five minutes to get out of your house or apartment. You will not have time to pack then.

Try to save up some extra cash for possible emergencies. Don't forget to have a good first aid kit and extra medication if you have been prescribed this by a doctor. Stock up on water in containers you can take with you.

Make photocopies of vital statistics and have them sealed in a water tight container. Many hurricane survivors could not produce legal papers or identification, and thus it took much longer for them to get financial aid and other help from government agencies.

If you are a member in a church that is small enough that people know each other, make plans to work with the church family and find a spot in advance where the group can go and meet and ride out the disaster together.

Most of all anchor yourself in our heavenly Father and learn to recite and believe that Psalm 23 applies to you! THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD!

And if you are going to lose your life in some catastrophe, remember this, it's no big deal, the moment your body dies; you will be transferred to heaven by God's holy angels, where you will reside for ever with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Naked you came into this world, and naked shall you leave it! PRAISE THE LORD FOREVER AND EVER!
