April 4, 2013
Dear Friends,
I wanted to give you an update
of what has happened in the last couple of weeks. As you know from my
last report, the members of Resurrection Life of
Jesus Church (RLJC) called Bill Chacon to become their new pastor after he
indicated that God was calling him back to the ministry. But after having only
served for three weeks, he suddenly resigned on March 10th and that created an
impossible situation for RLJC to continue to rent the church facilities and also
for EAEC where we make our video recordings. I am happy to report that after two
weeks we have been able to move out all of our equipment from the church
building used as a recording facility.
Prior to dismantling all the
recording equipment, I recorded a number of sermons that will last us through
the month of April since I didn’t know how long it take to get our new recording
facility up and running. Our plan was to continue releasing one sermon video per
week so that regular video viewers will have uninterrupted access but we have
run into problems that we did not anticipate. At this point I don’t know if the
blame can be laid at the feet of Satan or if it is a software problem.
In analyzing the problem, we
realized that some of the software being used is seven years old and no longer
supported by the manufacturer. This has necessitated rebuilding a computer,
installing a new operating system and replacing the questionable software. We
are actively working on correcting this issue and hope to have the computer back
up and running soon. I have said this a lot lately, but we covet your prayers
greatly; please uphold us in prayer so there won’t be anymore more setbacks.
THE NEW
RECORDING STUDIO
It
is impossible to set a time when the new recording studio will be completed. As
I previously stated, the loss of the church building was a surprise, and while we
had begun to lay some contingency plans, we were not fully prepared to pack up,
move and reassemble everything at a different location. We are in the process of
assembling the studio with its backdrop and control booth. The cameras at the
church facility were mounted on ceiling tiles and won’t be installed the same
way in the new studio since the ceiling is different and requires different
mounting hardware. We have contacted a professional company to help us with this
aspect of the installation but this was a cost we did not anticipate and our
funds are so stretched at this time that we don’t know where the money is going
to come from to pay for this added expense. Again, we need much prayer for this
hurdle to be overcome.
BUSINESS AS
USUAL
Our Internet bookstore has not
been affected by this move and orders continue to be filled as they come in. We
recently completed two deliverances during the time we moved from the church
facility. Both persons came to Sacramento; one was on a lady from Canada and the
other one was a man from Georgia. The deliverances were successful and they are
now enrolled in our 16 week follow-up program.
The seventh
Kabbalah book is almost done; my goal is
to write a little every day, but with the move and the two deliverances, there
has been no time to complete it. I am also working on a new article that exposes
the hidden agenda behind all the talk about gun control.
We continue to have Sunday
morning worship service for the EAEC staff and a few people from Resurrection
Life of Jesus Church since it is now closed. The sermons I preach on Sundays
will be recorded later and made available on our website.
FINANCES
The people who are part of our
internet ministry generously gave during the month of March and we were able to
meet all our financial obligations. We still have one month of outstanding rent
to pay on the church facility but God is faithful even when it seems that the
economic situation is hopeless. Since the church has closed its doors, we have
come to rely upon the majority of our finances from the internet ministry and
the month of April will be a new test of faith. I would rather keep on preaching
and writing but it is also necessary to make you aware of our financial
situation. I have seen God move countless times in the past and I know that He
will continue to provide for our needs through His people. I am excited about
the future and look forward to working together in the Lord’s harvest.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor John S. Torell
