It’s been a
year since the fateful split that resulted in an exodus of many members from
Resurrection Life of Jesus Church. The facilities in Carmichael were closed as a
result and the ministry’s future looked uncertain. We knew that Satan’s plan was
one of destruction and mayhem but God had other plans and this event taught us
ever increasing faith and the need to persevere in times of trouble.
“And he
that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know
that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are
the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:27-28)
The
majority of the ministry’s financial support came from cyber members and
supporters dating back to my days on the radio. The rest came from members of
Resurrection Life of Jesus Church. We knew there were problems but did not
expect the church to fold and had not made any preparations when it came about.
It looked like the ministry was going to crumble financially.
As I
stated, God was not taken by surprise and used this event to remold us into a
stronger fighting unit as support from cyber members increased and new people
from around the world came to our website. In short, with the odds stacked
against us, God provided enough money to cover salaries, bills, and pay off the
outstanding rent owed for the church facility. We moved into a much smaller
space at our production center and donated the things we no longer needed to a
local rescue mission who was expanding. The irony that we were an answer to
their prayer was not lost on me. God recycled what He had given us during the
years to another ministry and nothing was wasted.
NO GROWTH
IS A SLOW DEATH
We
completed the new studio in May of 2013 and resumed the Sunday morning
webcasting again. A small remnant from the church would gather after the webcast
for worship.
Then we had
another mishap with the hosting company that resulted in our website being
offline for several weeks. The engineers at the hosting company worked on the
problem but there was no immediate solution. This also meant that we lost our
weekly webcast and I was feeling very depressed. The Devil wasn’t done with us
as our internet connection became problematic and the webcast was lost a number
of times. Throughout all of these troubles, prayer was our answer and source of
strength.
A PLEASANT
SURPRISE
In 2012 a
couple that helped administer the German and Spanish websites told us they were
moving on and would no longer be able to help us. It was yet another blow and I
prayed that God would intervene and rebuild this part of the ministry.
Then the
miracle happened as a German speaking businessman from Switzerland contacted us
and offered his services. We asked him to come to Sacramento to get to know him
and then asked if he would become a translator. Prior to this, another man from
Florida told us that he wanted to do more for the ministry than just donating
money. He has since become new administrator for the German site. Together,
these two men are translating and putting up new content. The result is an
increasing response from people in Germany and for this we are praising God.
The Spanish
site was in limbo, and after much prayer, a ministry supporter contacted us and
agreed to become a translator. The administrator for the German site has agreed
to get the Spanish site back online and now everything that Satan stole from us
has been restored. Praise the Lord!
RESTORING
THE RADIO MINISTRY
God called
me to start a radio ministry in 1975 which lasted for 30 years until the price
of air time on the different radio stations reached a point that was no longer
sustainable. It was with grief and sorrow that I had to close that portion of
the ministry in 2005. I was depressed over this matter for a long time and
finally became resigned to the idea that I would never again be on the radio. I
consoled myself that God had replaced it with webcasting and then God brought it
back to my life when I became a regular speaker on Internet radio.
“For my
thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your
ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the
snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh
it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the
eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return
unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper
in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:6-11)
God
restored the radio ministry in September of 2013 and I now have been given two
hours of air time every week on Omega Man radio that is hosted by Shannon Davis.
I teach for one hour on whatever subject God lays upon my heart and the second
hour is filled with listener phone calls.
In the old
days of radio I would speak five days a week for 15 minutes and now I have two
hours available at no cost to me. The result has been scores of people listening
to Omega Man radio have started to visit our website, view the weekly webcast
and contact us for deliverance.
RESTORING
THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY
When
we lost the church facilities, we also lost space reserved to conduct
deliverances since we do not generally like to do so out of our homes. We had
also trained six people in the deliverance process, and with the exception of
one, lost all of them when the church split. One of our best workers became ill
and could not continue and it was obvious that this part of the ministry had
been effectively closed down. Several years of training had been spent in
training these workers and God had used them mightily during that time.
When I
resumed the radio program, there was a new shift in the ministry. The Omega Man
radio ministry is built around deliverance and suddenly people started to call
us and ask for help. It became clear that God wanted to restore this part of the
ministry.
The only
team we could muster was a church elder and myself for a deliverance on an
American Army veteran from Texas. We used Skype but it did not work as well as
if the person had been present with us.
We decided
to go back to the basics and have people come and be prayed for in person. But
this created a problem since all our free space at the production center was
being used. The only thing we could do was to temporarily make room at the
production center for our deliverances.
The first
people to arrive were Kristian and
Laura from Alaska, who stayed at a breakfast
inn close by and came to the production center during the day. These
deliverances went very well as the Holy Spirit came down in great power and you
can read their testimonies on our website.
The third
person that came to us was a woman from the Los Angeles area. Then a woman from
Texas begged us to take her through deliverance and we were all set to have her
and her family. She is in desperate need of deliverance because she was abused
as a young girl in a witch coven, where her dad was the leader. She had to
cancel due to lack of funds for the drive to California and a place to stay.
It made me
cry in my soul that God has not given us the necessary finances to receive
people and help them. There are a number of people waiting for deliverance; some
living close while others are coming from other states or even from other
countries. In the end, we don’t charge for the deliverance, but we can only help
those who have the finances to travel and pay for the cost of food and lodging.
Another
restriction is that we only have one team operating at this time. The
deliverance ministry has been revived, but in order to expand, we need more
space and deliverance workers.
THE TEN NEW
WORKERS
For the
last two years I have been working on the growing
Kabbalah series. The first six
books chronicled what the Devil and his people have done but books seven and
eight deal with the counter move of God to thwart the work of Satan. Book seven
has been completed and details how the Salvation Army came into being and what
the mission work by Hudson Taylor,
C.T. Studd and others accomplished. These men
and women worked in faith and used the technology that was available to them.
Taylor and Studd set goals and asked for a specific number of men and women to
be sent to them for training and then to be sent on to the mission fields. They
never had money available in advance, usually the people came first and then God
supplied the money to send them out.
As I
thought about this, I asked God to give me a vision and He showed me that I was
to ask for ten workers at the production center. It takes about a year to train
a worker for deliverance and I knew that the first ten workers would have to
stay at our production center, which is also our mission center.
In the
vision I saw ten trained workers who in turn would train another ten workers.
Once the 100 workers were trained, each would train ten more, and that would
bring us to the thousand worker mark.
I began to
speak about the vision on the webcast and the Omega Man radio show. A number of
people responded and the first investment they need to make is to purchase
Christian Dynamics Course 1 to see if they agree with our deliverance
method.
The first
person came to us in November of 2013 and is being trained at our production
center. The next two told us in February that God had called them to be part of
the ministry and they are currently making preparations to sell their home and
move to California. Two other people living locally have told me that they want
to be part of the deliverance ministry and that brings the number to five. I
know the other five will come soon as God is speaking to people to surrender and
become missionaries in these last days.
IMMEDIATE
GOALS FOR THE MINISTRY
In the
vision, God showed me that we need to expand the production center before we
branch out. This will give us a strong base that we can use in the years to come
to produce videos, audio, books and other printed material.
We have the
capacity to convert building space and erect a new building to store the
material we produce and also to provide temporary lodging for people seeking
deliverance, who cannot afford to stay at a motel. This means that we must
upgrade the existing electrical and water infrastructure since we are located in
a rural area. The estimated cost for this new expansion is $50,000.
Both Hudson
Taylor and C.T. Studd were men of great faith; they wrote letters and went out
on speaking tours to raise the money they needed for the Lord's work. I am
utilizing the internet and radio outreach to share the vision that God has given
me.
You might
not be able to become a missionary worker but you can still play an important
role through your prayers and financial support. Many of you already support the
ministry but there are thousands who read the articles and watch the videos who
do not give anything in return. If you agree with what this ministry teaches,
this is an opportunity for you to play an important role in the kingdom of God
and help us expand the ministry twofold. First, training men and women, and
secondly, by sending them out into the world to be used by God. They cannot
become missionaries unless they are supported financially by God’s people.
I would ask
that you seek the Lord and ask Him what He wants you to do. If He leads you to
support us financially, would you consider becoming a monthly supporter? Many
times people will send a one-time gift but what we need is regular giving. Will
you come alongside us this month with a generous donation? I'm urging you to
join us in making an impact today. Together we can meet the costs and achieve
the vision God has given me.
I want to
thank you on behalf of the unsaved people in the world who will hear the Gospel
as a result of your faithfulness. I also want to extend thanks for the people
that are oppressed by demons, who find relief in deliverance. Thank you
for helping us reach out to these men, women and children. These are the people
Jesus had in mind when He read from the book of Isaiah:
“The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to
the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that
are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19)
It is my
prayer that God will richly bless, heal and prosper you so that you can be
fruitful in the kingdom of God.
Yours in
Christ,
Pastor
